Total knee replacement surgery can significantly improve mobility and quality of life for individuals with advanced joint degeneration. However, the postoperative recovery period is often marked by persistent swelling, stiffness, and discomfort. The following patient testimonial illustrates the healing trajectory following total knee replacement, with the integration of Lumen Photon Therapy for post-surgical recovery.
"After years with an unstable knee, I had a robotic total knee replacement. My surgeon was supportive of using the Lumen Photon light therapy for regenerative healing and I began using them as soon as I was in recovery. I am including a few photos to show the progress. The first one was taken after the wrappings first came off two weeks post-surgery (there was a special healing dressing on the wound at first). I used my Lumen lights for pain relief, fast healing and minimal scarring. I alternated between the NICO setting for broad tissue healing and setting #7 for pain relief. My range of motion was excellent from the beginning as the lights had already taken care of much of the post-surgical swelling. I continued to use the Lumen lights faithfully and often, especially after physical therapy. My wound healed quite rapidly even with a setback episode of overwork at exercise. I was at full function within a few months. As of today, I am grateful to say my knee is fully healed , stable and I have a very light scar and full mobility. The last picture is 1.5 years after surgery and shows how minimal of a scar I have. Thank you Lumen Photon Therapy!"
